ABOUT ME

Design is where creativity, human connection, and purpose come together.

Lisa Ray is an interior designer, photographer, and creative whose work is deeply shaped by resilience, artistic expression, and human connection. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Coppin State University, completed her Interior Design degree in 2022, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Architecture and Interior Design at Academy of Art University, with plans to graduate in Fall 2026.

With a background in psychology, Lisa approaches design through both an emotional and functional lens. Her understanding of human behavior allows her to create spaces that not only feel visually compelling, but also evoke comfort, inspiration, and connection. She believes design has the ability to influence how people feel, heal, interact, and experience the world around them.

Creativity became an essential part of Lisa’s life at an early age. Growing up within the foster care system and moving between homes created experiences that were deeply traumatic and emotionally complex. During those years, art became more than a hobby it became an escape, a form of expression, and a way to hold onto identity during constant change. Through drawing, painting, photography, music, fashion, singing, and learning instruments such as piano and flute, creativity gave her a sense of freedom and emotional release when stability was often missing.

Those experiences continue to shape the way Lisa sees both art and design today. Her work is driven by the belief that creativity can be transformative not just aesthetically, but emotionally and psychologically. Whether through interiors, photography, or visual storytelling, she aims to create work that feels intentional, immersive, and emotionally impactful.

Lisa’s design style blends artistic expression with thoughtful functionality, often drawing inspiration from storytelling, atmosphere, emotion, and human experience. She is passionate about creating spaces and visuals that feel personal, memorable, and deeply connected to the people experiencing them. For Lisa, design is more than creating something beautiful it is about creating something meaningful.
